The Rehabilitation of the Doshi–Pol-e Khumri Road (51.98 km) project is a significant transportation improvement effort aimed at restoring one of the most important highway links in northern Afghanistan. This roadway serves as a major corridor for regional trade, passenger movement, and the transport of essential goods between the provinces of Baghlan, Kunduz, and further northern regions.
The project involves comprehensive rehabilitation works, including pavement reconstruction, patch repairs, upgrading of damaged sections, improvement of drainage systems, installation of culverts, slope stabilization, road widening in critical areas, and the addition of safety features such as signage and guardrails. These improvements are designed to enhance road durability, reduce travel time, and ensure safer and more reliable transport for local communities and commercial traffic.
EAGOC is the Project Manager, responsible for coordinating all stages of the rehabilitation process, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, supervising contractors, managing quality control, and delivering the project efficiently and within the planned timeframe.
